 We are proud to be working with Hotel Les Aiglons as our venue for this event. The hotel has recently undergone a ‘sustainable re-fit’ which has included:
- Optimising insulation of walls, terrace roof and inconvertible roof space
- Insulating the building outside and separating the balconies from the main structure to avoid heat loss
- Using natural gas (available on the spot) for heating
- Using a boiler with dry wood panels to heat the swimming pool
- Economic water systems
They hope to work towards the European 'Eco label' environmental standard in the future which their sister hotel, Le Morgane hope to obtain in June this year.
The ecological engineer who oversaw the re-fit at both hotels will be at the event to give tours around the hotel to explain the main environmental factors and how they achieved it!
This is a unique and exciting opportunity for Chamonix residents and businesses to learn from this example and we are very grateful to Hotel Les Aiglons for providing this opportunity.
